  13. Windows 3.1 supports the 16550 UART within Windows but, at least in
  14. its original form, does not support the 16550 in DOS sessions in 386
  15. enhanced mode.  Microsoft said they would release an updated comm.drv
  16. that would fix this.  That was ages ago when Windows 3.1 was originally
  17. released.  I have not since heard anything about this updated driver.
  18. Does anyone know if they in fact DID update the driver to support 16550
  19. UARTS in DOS sessions?  If so, where can I find it?
