  25. Well, for those of you following this saga and as promised,
  26. here is Chapter 11 ;-)

  28. The much discussed, long awaited ZEOS system arrived TODAY!  At this
  29. time, I do not care to rehash the major fiasco(s) of the last week.
  30. If you really want the gory details, email me privately and I will
  31. consider composing the GD's.

  33. I was a bit miffed that Customer Service has repeatedly told me that
  34. my system would be arriving *complete* and that every item ordered
  35. would be included.  Well that was lie number 47.  I did discover later
  36. that Customer Service at ZEOs is the *last* dept. to find out just
  37. about anything regarding an order.

  39. The Intel 400 SatisFAXtion internal modem is backordered and ZEOs
  40. has substituted the VESA video board for a DIAMOND 24X card.  I
  41. have been playing phone tag with Tech Support all day.  In
  42. one message, the tech guy said that they would try and get the
  43. VESA card out so that I could use both for a while and decide which
  44. video board that I wanted to keep.

  46. I welcome any comments regarding the Diamond24X vs. VESA...

  48. I haven't been able to get back with him.  I get the idea that a
  49. lot of Tech reps at ZEOS feel that the Diamond 24X is *better*
  50. than their own VESA option.

  52. Tech Support has agreed however, to extend my 30 day evaluation warranty
  53. that comes standard with each new system.  They are faxxing documents
  54. that effectively postpone the 30 day window until I have received
  55. both the modem and and VESA board.  I think this is only fair and
  56. I am pleased that they have chosen to do this.  I don't think I
  57. could have completely evaluated the "system" without all the pieces
  58. running as a unit.

  60. Finally, I haven't powered up the system yet.  I just got it from
  61. FedEX and took it home and did a quick inventory, before I went into
  62. work this morning.  This weekend should be fun.  Please reply via
  63. Email if you have any questions regarding this system.
