- I have an Archive FT-60 tape drive on my PC at home which uses QIC 600A's,
- 600HC's, 300X/LP's (you get the picture) and since transferring some crap
- from work can take several MB, it can be a real hassle to download it onto
- floppies to take home. I was wondering what it take to tar stuff onto a QIC
- tape at work and then be able to retrieve (restore) it onto my PC? Since tar
- simply puts the data on the tape, I would assume that, say, tar for the PC
- would be able to read it off, right?
-
- Any thoughts, suggestions, comments appreciated.
