  26. The man pages for yppasswd(1) on my HP-UX 8.07 and 9.0 systems (both
  27. Series 700s) say this:

  51.    All these rules except the first are relaxed if you try three times to
  52.    enter an unacceptable new password.  You cannot, however, enter a null
