- I recently read a reply from a Mr. Bob_BobR_Retelle, when I asked questions
- concerning Game Workbench, and what it means to the common st user like me
- ( yes st users still exist ).
-
- Anyway like I said before it appears that Mr. Bagget is very upset.
- However does this mean Game Workbench will never see the light ?
- I would sincerely hope not.
- I would really like to know what the AAID think of this ( or are they an
- organisation that does not have meetings or communicate with one another ).
- I plan to buy a Falcon because of it's hardware and some of the readily
- available ST software. I can not afford to keep upgrading a PC.
- My Falcon will serve as a terminal ( so I can have irc up all the time ),
- and a platform where I can program with some of the already available gnu
- tools.
- Perhaps Mr. Bagget ( I hope I'm spelling his name right ), could negotiate
- with some european software houses ( or perhaps not considering how much
- of his personal finances he has put in already ). The software house I had
- in mind was Renegade ---> infamous for bitmap bros. games.
- As long as he has his routines licenced or copyrighted, he should be able
- to work out something ( right ? ). Because I feel like students ( like me ),
- programmers should at least cooperate ( ensuring that they have thier indiv.
- work copyrighted if neccessary ). I am sure Mr. Bagget wanted to share
- the fruits of his developement, however we all know how he was thwarted.
- But I do feel he should not give up, he has worked very hard and his work
- should not be in VAIN. I proprose ( perhaps rather blindly ), to see if this
- product can be made available through the europeans namely --->
- Renegade, maybe Atari U.K., some French or German software houses, etc.
- Think if these routines could be called from a rom chip !! that would be
- truly nice. Note LYNX PROGRAMMERS may not be true Atarians --->
- they are from the other side of the camp.
-
- I would really like to know how
-
- Mr. Bagget feels about this.
- How atari employees who frequent the net feel about this.
- Ataris position on game workbench ( did we ever get thier opinion )
- And if this product will be available <--- This is to Mr. Bagget as I don't
- have his e-mail address.
-
-
- NOTE I HAVE TRIED TO BE UNBIASED AND OBJECTIVE IN WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN
- SO PLEASE DON'T HOUND ME AS I DO NOT LIKE PERSONAL ATTACKS. IF THERE
- ARE ANY WRONG ASSUMPTIONS, NICELY CORRECT ME AND LET IT BE THAT.
