- Here's something that may be interesting to the readers' of this subject.
-
- Someone I know is getting Word Perfect for his Tandy computer. As seems
- to be typical in the IBM world, he's getting it from a friend.
-
- The interesting thing (at least to me) is that he didn't even know that
- it was illegal! He had never heard of 'piracy' (or for that matter 'share-
- ware').
-
- *IF* he is a typical IBM user then it is no wonder that Atari is not doing
- so good. At least Atarians are knowledgable enough to know that copying
- copyrighted material is illegal (in general OK?! I'm sure everybody can
- point fingers toward some Atari owner who doesn't know about this.).
-
- Apparently, some kind of education of the general public needs to be
- implemented. Anybody got some ideas?
-
- BTW, I don't think I convinced him not to pirate WP. At least he now knows
- it's wrong and maybe his conscience will get the better of him one day.
-
- Adios,
- Kenneth Love
