- I've always been intrigued by the possibility to use a computer to
- 'walk around' models of buildings and cities. To do this, you need a program
- that is a cross between a flight simulator and a 3D object editor. I don't
- want the hassle with flight dynamics, navigation beacons and perhaps even
- armament and enemies, but I want to be able to create my own landscapes
- easily.
-
- I have Master CAD, and its editing capabilities are quite nice, but
- it does not allow flying around. I also have CAD 3D, and although
- its rendering is better than that of Master CAD, editing the objects is
- painful, and it has no flying around either (and making a 'movie'
- is a pain too).
-
- I have taken a look at version 1 of 3DCK in the past. As far as I could tell
- it was a quite nice program, but limited, and with the serious drawbacks
- that I couldn't install it on my harddisk (copy protection), ran only
- in color, and quite likely wouldn't even run on my Mega STe. I can accept
- color-only, but not the other limitations.
-
- Now there is 3DCK version 2, and I am curious. Will it run on my Mega STe,
- and is it useful for what I want? Has anyone tried this program,
- and wat is your opinion about it? All details are helpful.
-
- If there is sufficient response I will summarize to the net.
