- Sounds almost like the second head has had the richard - that happens quite
- a lot if you format single-sided disks and use them as DS. (on some
- single-sided disks only one side is polished - the other is like sandpaper)

- Another possibility is that your soundchip has bit the dust - one of the
- spare outputs on it is used to select which side of the floppy is read.

- The cable is a very unlikely suspect.

- Buy a 3.5" floppy cleaning kit & try that first, then try a visual
- inspection of the heads (peer thru the slot 8), also try borrowing another
- DS drive & try with that.
