- What John said was basically correct, the Falcon _knows_ what kind of
- monitor is connected via the adapter plug, and consequently sets the video
- modes up correctly for that monitor. So, if you have the VGA monitor block
- plugged in, it won't let you change to 640x480x16bpp (or 640x400 actually).
- However, I wanted to point out that you can do true color modes on the VGA
- monitor : 320x240x16bpp and 320x480x16bpp. On the SC1224 or equivalent,
- you'll get all the video modes, but those with over 200 lines of
- resolution (not counting for overscan), you'll have interlace.

- I don't know, I'm still reeling from the fiasco about the 16-bit data
- bus. :-) See John Hutchinson's post, I think he has a better handle on the
- whole bus thing than I do.
