- It is possible to configure the video thru software, but, whenever you change
- modes via the desktop it will check the configuration of the adaptor plug and
- reset itself. So, the simple answer is, you will need to keep changing the
- plug. An alternate answer is, someone ought to make a multiscan adapter plug
- with a toggle switch for the VGA detect line.

- Hm... There's "separate" and then there's *separate*. There is only one bank
- of memory, and both the CPU and the video have access to it. But the video
- gets there using 32 bit accesses, and the CPU only uses 16 bit accesses. So,
- yes, the video fetches via a separate bus from the CPU, but who cares, both
- buses go to the same place in the end...
