- It's over (although it just begins).
- I bought it for DM 200, that's a fair price and it's really brand new.
- But here my problems begin...
- The only DOS I own working correctly with the XF551 and giving the full
- density support is BIBO-DOS XF6.4.
- That's a good one but there are still a few features I miss :
-
- - A good sector copier for XF551s DS/DD format (quad format)
- - A file copy program for quad density and all others without filename typing
- and with one-button-pressed operations
- - A track copier for XF551 (both sides)
- - A assembly source code for recognizing the disk switch open/close
- - More DOS for it (supporting all its densities and the included software
- speeder)
-
- Also, is there a hardware utility for it like the HAPPY 1050 oder SPEEDY 1050 ?
- Not because of double density but for higher speed and becoming master of all
- the tracks...
-
- Is there the possibility of building in a write-protect switch to the XF551 ?
-
- Thanx in advance for quick and founded answers ...
