- |Hi! there,
- hello...
-
- |I have an Apple joystick (the plate says: Apple IIe, IIc Model No
- |A2M2002...) and I'd like to connect it to my PC clone. I'v known the pin
-
- | bottun PIN
- |another button -----1--------2----------------------------o 2 (5V DC?)
-
- | 3--------4----------------------------o 1 or 7
- | |
- | |----------------^^^^^^----------------o 3 (GND?)
- | 270 Ohm
- "inside the apple //c" suggests using 1000 Ohm, but I'm sure the
- difference between 5 mA and 25mA is NOT anything to worry about.
-
- Also, Im sure that this resister is redundant (on an apple),
- as I'm sure the logic in the game control input is normally off anyway.
-
-
- |There is no ON/OFF response (as checked with an Ohmmter) when I
- |press/release the button. I wonder if the buttons need power-on to
- |function or both the buttons are bad?
- Uh. I dont know exactly whats inside your joystick, but
- I'm sure the switch is as you've shown.
- When testing the swich you would find an open circuit for
- off , and 0 ohms for on ??? you say you didnt find anything,
- but how does your ohmeter go at measuring both 0 ohm and opencircuit?
-
-
- pin 1 is button 1, pin 7 is button 0; and thats all there is to know.
- Except, 5v on the pin is on, 0 volts (or open circuit?) is off.
-
- |Thanks in advance!
-
- ok, leon
