- If I might, I would just like to state that I answered the above question
- (with the same answer, by the way :) when I posted the first article of
- this thread :)
-
- Anyway... It's really simple, Roy. There are lots of us IIers still
- around. We just have to be willing to support those who support us. We've
- got software (GNO, DreamGrafx, Out of This World, etc, etc, etc). A new
- CPU is coming (the Avatar machine... BTW, does anyone have any new info on
- Avatar? I'd bug BurgerBill, but he probably has his mailbox full of
- questions like that :) we have support from the Alliance, and user groups.
-
- How about publications? How about GS+? II Alive? A2-Central?
-
- OK, so the Apple II doesn't have a 82.587% share of the desktop market. So
- what? That still doesn't mean that I can't enjoy my Apple IIs, that
- doesn't mean that there won't be any more software or hardware developed
- for it, that doesn't mean that ever Apple II CPU is going to
- simultaneously explode at midnight on December 15 or some other random
- date.
-
- Your Apple II is no less useful now than it was when you bought it. In
- fact, it's probably considerably more useful. So enjoy it, and don't
- squeal - it doesn't do anyone any good. And it won't make you feel any
- better.
