- The problem is left over from AmigaOS 1.3. CrossDOS was added to AmigaDOS
- as an afterthought. It has never really been fully integrated into the OS.
- The FastFileSystem did the same thing under 1.3 if you hacked it to use
- floppies. Under 2.0, Commodore fixed the FastFileSystem so that you do not
- get a "good" disk icon and a "bad" disk icon, as you would if you hacked the
- FFS to support floppies under 1.3. But CrossDOS still does the same thing.

- Facilities are "in there" in 2.0 and 3.0 to allow the same devices to
- handle multiple formats. Commodore just needs to modify CrossDOS so that it
- supports these facilities.
