- Well, for all that, I'd say $700 or 800 was about right. I'd remind you that you
- can get a new A500 for $300 from Tenex right now, they are dirt cheap, and they
- are 1.3 machines. It's about the same.
-
- As for getting it upgraded, there are a lot of things you can add to make it
- better. I have WB 2.0.5 on my A500, plus a SupraDrive 500PX with a 52 meg
- Quantum and an additional meg of Ram. That set me back about $450 plus shipping
- here in the US of A. Both these addons make a HUGE difference, and I'd really
- suggest you get them (2.0 definately, which HD to buy is a debatable one, though
- I like mine...) You can get flicker fixers that work for the A500, the Supra and
- most other HD cases will let you expand RAM further (mine takes 8).
-
- In short, sounds like an OK deal to me. Dunno, but I hear things go for more in
- Brittan, so it's hard to say. Hope it works out. I'd REALLY consider at least
- getting 2.0 somehow.
