  14. I am using a Multivision Flickerfixer card in my Amiga 2000.
  15. It supports both PAL and NTSC Mode (I have installed a switch on
  16. the J102 jumper of my motherboard), but on a Multisync-Monitor
  17. which is used to operate with 70 Hz or more the Amiga's 60 Hz are
  18. still to less to build a real flicker-free picture.
  19. Sold with the card was a programm "SyncMaster II" which programs
  20. the ECS-Agnus to work with higher Picture Frequency by reducing the
  21. number of vertical lines. Using full overscan it is possible to have
  22. 70 Hz with a remaining resolution of 720x400. So far, so good.

  24. My problem: When running with frequencies greater than 60 Hz,
  25. sometimes the card fails. The effects range from snowstorms on the
  26. screen to the Amiga-Videosignal displayed twice on the screen with
  27. interlace-like flickering. These crashes specially occur when I
  28. open, close, or click-to-front/back screens. At least sometimes
  29. it's only the card that crashes, for the system continues to run.
  30. In a few cases I was even able to reset the display by starting
  31. SyncMaster-program with hotkey.

  33. This seems to be a general problem of the Multivision card, for
  34. the exchange of the card did not help, or the reason is to be found
  35. in my motherboard.

  37. - Is there anybody who has the same problem ?
  38. - Does someone have a Multivision that operates with 70Hz o.k. ?
  39. - What could be the cause of it ?
  40. - Are there other Programs that do similar thing to the Agnus on PD ?
  41. - Is Multivision able to operate with the 2.1-Videomode Euro72 ?

  43. I would be glad if someone could help me to make my Amiga really
  44. flickerfree.
