  25. If the jumper settings in my previous posting didn't help here is something
  26. else to try out even if it does sound a bit weird.  Change the order of
  27. the devices in the chain so that tape drive comes between the CDC and the 
  28. Quantam, terminate the last disk drive and remove the terminators from the 
  29. tape drive.

  31. I have the following setup; A2002, GVP Series II SCSI controller, 48MB
  32. Segate, Archive Viper tape drive and a Wren IV.  The Segate and the Viper
  33. are installed internally on the A2000.  Originally I had problems when
  34. I first added the external Wren. I had no problem accessing the Wren and
  35. the Segate but I got "reselection" errors when ever I would try to write 
  36. to the tape drive.  My setup before adding the Wren was
  37.  
  38.               GVP-segate-viper+
  39.  
  40. Then when I added the Wren
  41.  
  42.         +Wren=GVP-segate-viper+
  43.

  47. I read the GVP manual and it said to remove all internal terminators 
  48. when you have an external device (no it didn't make sense to me either).

  52. Doing this resulted in the tape and the segate working fine but the Wren 
  53. didn't show up at all.  However, after swaping the internal setup so that the 
  54. Segate became the last devicein the internal chain and putting back in the 
  55. terminators the system came up fine.

  59. Any ideas? And what other setups (terminator wise) do people have who use
  60. GVP SCSI controllers?
