- Thankyou for your suggestion. I will call Supra tonight and say
- "My first three Supra modems were malfunctioning and I would please like
- another, hopefully one that works. Oh this one will work? I thought the last
- three would work too."

-
- Actually, in all kindness, the third modem I received was a little
- bit better than the first two, except for the dead pixels and the nice
- psychadelic intensity gradient. It still can't answer the phone reliably
- (I can predict when it won't answer the phone), but since I have made some
- headway, I am asuming that there might be some mistake on my end... but then
- again, the first one I got worked for a little while and I am still using
- the same exact init sequences.
-
- Basically the third modem greatly improved my outgoing calls, which
- pleases me, but it has not improved incoming calls. I just learned today that
- my friend who had been helping me received an $83 phone bill for calls within
- our area code to my house trying to connect. I spent $60 more than I
- originally thought it would cost, for shipping new modems and long distance
- calls. The next time Supra sends me a modem, it will either work or it will
- be the last. I hope sincerely that Supra starts making modems that work well.
- It seemed as though the worked better within the first few hours and then the
- failures started showing up...

- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SUPRA MODEMS - IN MY OPINION THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE
