- A couple of days ago, I tried this;
-
- I set up my terminal to the biggest I could get it; 90 x 28 - with a sixteen
- point font. Then I used stty to set my unix end to 90 by 28 aswell...
-
- THEN, I used the an editor called 'joe' which is really nice 'cause it
- doen't update the whole screen when you move around down the text; it just
- deletes a line at the top, inserts a line at the bottom, and writes the next
- line...
-
- Now, as I was editing, I came to the end of one line, and pressed Enter, and
- BOOM :(, term died with a 'recoverable' software error. I think the
- 'insert line' vt command was sent to my machine, but I can't be sure about
- that one.
-
- It wasn't quite that recoverable though, since if I tried to cancle the
- error, the software error requester kept coming back, and I had to reset.
-
- Quite the pain... anyone else had this problem?
