- The point is that pointing fingers at UUCP links is pointless. It's the
- TCP/IP links that are the problem. Because the application layer used
- in TCP/IP news and mail links is not 8-bit clean.

- Unfortunately, some UUCP links use dirty mail software, like sendmail.
- Fortunately, there are few if any UUCP links that can't easily upgrade
- to one of the 8-bit-clean routing agents.
