- Gilles,
-
- Would you consider the new real-time systems from Hewlett-Packard? Here is
- how it matches your "wish list."
-
- - SVID and/or POSIX compliant
- POSIX.1, .4, and .4A compliant.
- - support for Ethernet with TCP/IP
- Yes.
- - support for the X Window system (at least the client side)
- including Xlib and all the include files
- Yes, X11R5 and Motif 1.2.
- - a C compiler with 32-bit int's, with all the C libraries
- and include files, and "make"
- The C compiler used for HP-RT applications has been tuned to the
- PA RISC architecture on which HP-RT and its applications run on.
- - device drivers available for Data Translation and/or other
- popular high-speed A/D boards (I need an A/D capable of sustained
- 12-bit capture on 16 single ended channels at 10-20 kHz per channel,
- i.e. an aggregate rate of at least 320 kHz)
- We are currently working with several VME I/O card vendors. I
- believe one of these can help you out.
