  15. Would you consider the new real-time systems from Hewlett-Packard?  Here is
  16. how it matches your "wish list."

  19.       POSIX.1, .4, and .4A compliant.
  20.     - support for Ethernet with TCP/IP
  21.       Yes.
  22.     - support for the X Window system (at least the client side)
  23.       including Xlib and all the include files
  24.       Yes, X11R5 and Motif 1.2.
  25.     - a C compiler with 32-bit int's, with all the C libraries
  26.       and include files, and "make"
  27.       The C compiler used for HP-RT applications has been tuned to the
  28.       PA RISC architecture on which HP-RT and its applications run on.
  29.     - device drivers available for Data Translation and/or other
  30.       popular high-speed A/D boards (I need an A/D capable of sustained
  31.       12-bit capture on 16 single ended channels at 10-20 kHz per channel,
  32.       i.e. an aggregate rate of at least 320 kHz)
  33.       We are currently working with several VME I/O card vendors.  I
