  13.     I have been running xntpd version 3.1 on sun sparcs and have
  14.     noticed that trying to use the internal clock with this version
  15.     does not work.  If I set a machine to sink to its internal clock
  16.     at let say strat 5 that machine will not then broadcast itself
  17.     as a strat 5 clock instead it thinks it is strat 18 or 21 (I
  18.      forget what the exact number is but its the highest possible).
  19.     Because of this when I loose my network connection all my machine
  20.     clocks start to slowly wonder.  Can you give me any clues as
  21.     to if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug.  I have used
  22.     xntpd version 2?? in the past and have not seen this problem.
