- After quiting a Kermit Telnet session using a SLIP packet driver
- any further attempt to persuade the modem to redial results in
- failure with the message 'Turn on your modem and redial'. This
- will occur even if the SLIP driver has been removed with a RELEASE
- TSR utility. Other comms software also refuses to reconnect in
- such circumstances.

- My question is what has the SLIP driver done to persuade everything
- else that the modem is *off*, and is there a fix other than a reboot.
