- I've got dp-2.2beta runinng between two Sun3's running 4.1.1 using telebit
- worldblazers and I'm seeing the following problem. If you generate a lot of
- packet activity ie, rcp a file or bring up an X tool, the process generating
- the activity will appear to hang or the whole session will hang. ie if i
- do an rcp between machine 1 and machine 2 the rcp will hang on machine 1
- after transferring about 25k. Most of the time I can still use other rsh's
- through the link, but the one doing the rcp is dead. Sometimes only the one
- process get's blocked and sometimes everything gets hangs. From what I`
- understand, the modem attached to machine 1 has it's send and receive lights
- flashing where as the modem attached to machine 2 only has it's send light
- flashing. To me this looks like a flow control problem, with a process losing
- some packets an thus it get's hung waiting for an ACK. I don't understand
- though why the process does not recover. Also when the whole session is
- hung I can't figure out why the send light is flashing on modem 1 and
- the recieve is not flashing on modem 2. The following are my register
- setting:

- WorldBlazer - SA - Version LA5.00W- Active Configuration

- OK

- I also set s50=7 s180=2 s190=4 when I initiate a call. I hope some one can
- help me because so far dp works fine for simple interactive stuff, but
- I cannot due X Windows or file transfer.
