- I am trying to set up a system by which I may print to Unix lpd-accessible
- printers from MacOS over LocalTalk. I have CAP 6.0 which I am attempting to
- install under A/UX 3.0. All of the documentation indicates that this would work
- great over EtherTalk or IPTalk. I've heard rumours of this working over
- LocalTalk, but I can find nothing supporting this in the distribution.
-
- Anyone out there gotten CAP working over LocalTalk from A/UX?
- I'd appreciate any pointers...
-
- Thanks in advance...

- P.S. I don't have any philosophical objection to switching to EtherTalk, and our
- Macs have Ethernet cards, but they use them to talk TCP/IP. I know that
- EtherTalk and IP will coexist happily on a single Ethernet, but I have my
- doubts about MacTCP and EtherTalk sharing an interface. I can't even get two
- MacTCP programs to share...
