- I have several FastPaths 4, ROM 5.1, K-Star 9.1. They work fine. What I
- want to do is to connect a group (2-3 Macs and a printer) which are located
- at an odd place via a Dyana EtherPrint Plus to our EtherNet. I think these Macs
- can use MacTCP and one one of these FastPath will do the DDP/IP conversion.
- I guess it has do with the "IP forwarding for EtherTalk" switch in the Shiva
- NetManager setup.
- My questions are:
- a) Is this correct?
- b) What restrictions do exist for the IP-addresses of these Macs? Can I still
- use static addresses for these Macs (within the range the FastPath is set to
- administer)?
- c) What performance can I expect? What sideeffects does it have for the Macs
- connected to the LocalTalk side?
- d) Anythink else to consider?
