- Hi!
-
- Some time ago I heard that some new operating system (for PC?)
- will be using a 16bit ASCII-like representation.
- This way it will be possible to represent 65535 symbols,
- i.e. nearly all characters used throughout the world.
-
- Can anyone tell me more about this, especially
- if it is possible to get access to this table.
- I would like to use the appropriate numbering for chinese,
- japanese and korean symbols (and others), for compatibility reasons.
- Has anyone a copy of the actual table (postscript or other)?
-
- Any help or pointers most appreciated !
-
- Thanks in advance !
