- Simple question:
-
- Does anOS/2 (preferable) or WINDOZE program exist to take all the scaleable fonts in my C:\OS2\DLL
- directory (.AFM, .PFM, etc) and create a font sample sheet at a given size (say 18 or 24 pt) showing what they
- look like.
-
- I tried to create one, after installing about 80 or 90 shareware fonts. EPM (Enhanced Editor) died with a
- Sys 3157 error in ATMPM.DLL, and Describe (beta/demo DESC32PV.EXE available on many ftp sites)died
- after I tried to use more than a dozen fonts in a document.
-
- All work fine when you only have a few fonts, and Describe coped with up to 30 fonts, until I tried to print
- at which point it crashed royally.
-
- DeScribe's demo gave me a lot of respect for the product, buggy as the DESC32PV.EXE package is, I am seriously
- tempted to defect from WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS to the new Describe version that just came out. (4.0 is it?)
- Apparently they gave almost everyone their wish-list. That's something I like to see from a company.
-
- Meanwhile, how does one make a font sheet?

-
- P.S. Let me pass on some recommendations - THERE ARE SOME GREAT SHAREWARE ADOBE FONTS
- OUT THERE. CHECK THEM OUT BEFORE YOU BUY ANY FONT PACKS! THEY MAY BE ALL YOU
- NEED.
