  17. Interesting that you should mention "a repeated pattern...lines"  I
  18. see these too, but in very different circumstances.  I have an ATI
  19. Graphics Vantage which starts to have problems when, I think, it
  20. undergoes too rapid a temperature transition.  It may go through a
  21. vaiety of other problems first, but it frequently gets there in the
  22. end.  What can be very interesting about this is that it may happen in
  23. only one window.  e.g., I could be reading news in TE/2, then I get
  24. the lines, I cntrl-esc, get a black screen, hit enter, and I'm back in
  25. TE/2 because that was what was on the task list, and the visual
  26. problems are momentarily taken care of.  Weird.
