- Yup! You got ripped off. As pointed out by someone on here, the "F"
- stands for FIFO. That's the "BUFFER" you're trying to turn on with
- the "MODE" command.

- I don't know how the 16550AN differs from the 16450, but you obviously
- didn't get what you asked for. You should try returning it to the
- retailer, and if that doesn't work, consider a small claims court
- action.
