- Question. The backup you restored, was it an OS/2 made backup or was
- it made under DOS or with a DOS program under OS/2? If it was not
- a true OS/2 program, it is quite likely that you lost your extended
- attributes and the WPS depends heavily on EA's and will probably not
- work without them. If you didn't use an EA aware process then the
- news may be bad unless someone else has some idea. If you did use
- an EA aware process, then I have no idea of what happened.
-
- BTW, if you did not save and restore the EA's (done automatically by
- the OS/2 Backup command and by OS/2 designed backup programs), all is
- not lost. You will have to reinstall OS/2 and remake the desktop
- that you had. However, the ordinary files (data files, most executable
- files) will still work since most don't use EA's yet. Printer drivers
- are one except I know about (at least the HP PCL drivers wont work
- right without the appropriate EAs).
-
- Good luck.
