  35. I found it difficult to use the 32 bit trident drivers after using Joel's
  36. dirvers.  PM bench records a few speed increases with the 32 bit trid drivers,
  37. but the average response was slower, and some operations were dreadfully
  38. slow, such as only being 1/3rd the speed of Joel's drivers when it comes to 
  39. opening dialog boxes and pull down menus.  I'm sure that this can be
  40. attirbuted to Joel's skill as a programmer.  The other problem I had was that
  41. some of the text mode fonts were particularly slow to scroll and hard to
  42. read in a window.

  44. In the rumor department, I here that the 32 bit trident drivers were 
  45. written by IBM for the 2.1 release.  If they were, then hey you
  46. IBM guys! the scrolling speed is awful on the 32 bit trident drivers.
  47. They scrool at less than half the speed of joel's drivers.
