- AH>I'm using OS2 with the FAT system and am periodicaly using Norton

- AH>if it's OK to change the attributes of the EA's to read/write and then

-
- Absolutely! I have a backup routine that runs NBACKUP, then unhides EA DATA.
- SF
- and WP ROOT. SF, SWAPPER.DAT, and all \DELETED files. I then delete
- SWAPPER.DAT
- and all the \DELETED files, plus *.TMP, *.BAK, and various other temporary
- files.
- Finally, a SpeedDisk /ff with OS/2 system directories and my app directories
- at
- the head of the directory list, and various files in the file list.
-
- The only ``problem'' is that on re-boot, if OS/2 does a CHKDSK /f, that any
- files deleted during my DOS backup-cleanup-SpeedDisk _may_ report lost EAs,
- but
- so what?
-
- All of this works for 3 logical drives across two physical drives, BTW.
