- Greetings,
-
- i'm having trouble installing os2 on my pc.
-
- Austin 386/20
- Paradise EGA 480
- 40M hard drive
- 4M RAM
-
- i am able to install from the first 5 installation disks, but when the installation
- program attempts run os2 (and i presume display the Graphical environment on the
- monitor), i get a blank screen. I don't ever see a screen that asks me to insert
- disk 6.
-
- I have phoned IBM's help line but their suggestion is not satisfactory (they say that
- lack of hard space, 30M, is causing the screen to be blank).
-
- Is anyone running os2 with a Paradise EGA 480 video card? And if so, did you have
- to modify the installation in any way?
-
- Thanks,

- PS:
- if i can't get the EGA card to work, are there any instructions for completing the
- remainder of the installation by hand? I could then use cmd.exe as my shell
- environment and forget the graphical environment. I'd really like to be able to
- install the help files at a minimum.
