- Hello...
-
- I just decided to post the printer problem in detail.
-
- I have Dell Dimension 486-33 system with 8 meg ram. I recently connected
- Epson LQ-570 printer to LPT1, and set up the driver for the printer. But
- if I try to print something, OS/2 says it can't write on LPT1. If I choose
- IBMNULL driver, it prints the first character, and says the printer is
- turned off while it is not. If I select retry button, it again prints
- the next character, the says the printer is turned off. If I boot from
- drive A using dos diskette, not OS/2, the printer works fine.
-
- I checked IRQs and there is no conflict. I did everything I can think of,
- and nothing's working. Since the printer resets when I boot the computer,
- I think the cable is ok. Can anybody please help me? I have to use my
- printer. I even called IBM tech line, but to no avail.
-
- Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please, HELP ME...
