- Hello everyone,
-
- recently I bought a new VGA with Paradise/WD chipset, 1 MB true colour.
-
- Whenever I change to a new resolution in Windows 3.1 (I prefer using setup
- in DOS), I get a system error right after restarting Windows:
- "Division by zero or overflow error", and then it goes back to DOS. It still
- manages to get my background picture loaded, the crash occurs right before
- Prog. Manager should appear.
-
- When I start Windows again, all works fine until I change the resolution again.
-
- I use the VGA drivers that came with the card, apparently they are buggy.
- (I assume it's the drivers that are to blame, since with my old VGA and its
- drivers everything was ok.)
-
- Well I can live with that problem as it occurs only once after changing, but
- if there's a cure, I'd like to know it. Perhaps there are updated drivers
- available?
-
- Thank you for any hints
-
-
- Wolfgang
