- Hello all,
- I am currently on the market for a low-cost color printer for our
- group. I am currently considering either the DeskJet550C or the Deskwriter
- equivalent to it. What we would really like to do is throw the printer
- onto our network and setup a Novell print queue to it. So here is the
- question: Are there any networking options for the Deskjet550c? I know we
- can buy an ethernet printing device that will make it a network printer,
- but that will cost a bit.
-
- My other question is for anyone thats seen a Deskwriter550C. If we do
- head in this direction because of the built-in networking (localtalk), what
- contortions will we have to engage in to be able to print from PCs (mainly
- windows) to this printer? New drivers? Or are the two printers basically
- identical in function?
