- I've been using Linux for many months and have been very impressed with
- it. However I just managed to do something real stupid, and would like
- some advice.
-
- What I was trying to do was upgrade libc.so.4 to libc.so.4.2. What I did
- in the process was an rm libc.so.4, so I could relink it to libc.so.4.2.
- Of course ln didn't work as it couldn't find libc.so.4, and I can't reboot
- from the harddrive as even init uses libc.so.4. I tried downloading H.J.Lu's
- bootable rootdisk, thinking this was the perfect use for it, but it refuses
- to boot with an Error 0x10. I also tried the boot/root images from tsx-11,
- but they also refuse to boot.
-
- Any suggestions? I have a 386sx, 2Mb and 2 ~100Mb IDE drives.
-
- Thanks in advance
-
- John
