  15. I'm using Linux/SLS.98pl5 and attempting to get Xfree86 up and running. 
  16. The problem I have right now is that when 'startx' is run, the screen locks
  17. up with a grey cross-hatch pattern on it. <ctrl><alt><bckspc> doesn't let me
  18. exit or kill the server either. Can someone fill me in on what is going on with
  19. this? I remember some references that were made to this, but I couldn't find 
  20. where I saw this.
