  10. I have just spent an hour downloading material which should have spent
  11. about 20 minutes.  Apparently, the new kernel is dropping characters
  12. at an incredible rate!  Even with this mail program I'm using, I can't
  13. scroll 20 lines of text (the caption list) without having it "screw
  14. up!"  Any pointers or configuration changes?
