- Yep, I've got exactly the same problem. 98 patch 6 works fine and I've tried
- booting off the hard disc using shoelace and from a floppy. I've even tried to
- use a floppy as the root file system, but the kernel still insists on hanging.

- One thing I have noticed though. 98 patch 6 use 40k of data in the kernel, but
- 99 tells me it is using 400k of data !

- Why the big increase, or has this got something to do with the problem ?
