  24. from scratch yourself?

  26. I have, and once I even did implement a better system (a network manager)
  27. AFTER we bought and paid for the commercial system.   I had it up and running
  28. before the vendor went from alpha to beta.  We shelved theirs.  I bet I am not 
  29. alone in this experience.  After that, contributing some of my sweat to a pool
  30. that anyone can draw from, doesn't seem like such a hardship, anymore.

  33. joy of hacking!  Imagine that.
