- Ack. I think I may be losing my mind :-).
- I have recently reformatted my linux disks and
- am re-installing .99 from scratch (to clean out
- all the old stuff that undoubtedly needed cleaning
- out) and I am having a problem that completely
- eludes me:
-
- It started out that in shell scripts, a call
- to echo would cause a SegFault, but echo in a user bash
- would work fine. I have no echo binary anywhere on the fs
- and have always relied on the built in echo.
- To complicate matters, echo from my user bash
- also started failing, but sporadically. I suppose I could
- use this to my advantage in that I can just type 'echo foo'
- to logout, but I'd like to find the source of the problem
- and fix it.
-
- Does anyone have any ideas?
