- Hello all,
- I'm having problems getting my mouse (and therefore X) and my modem to work at
- the same time. I originally had the mouse as ttys0, and the modem and ttys2. My
- mouse would work fine as long as I wasn't using the modem. If I ENTERED kermit
- (not "c"onnecting), or cat'ed the modem, the mouse would not respond. Once I
- exited kermit/cat, things would return to normal.
- I'm almost certain this is an IRQ conflict of some sort. I have a serial line
- on ttys1 with isn't afflicted with these problems. It happens when I'm not
- running X as well, so X isn't the problem. Because I need to be able to use all
- three ports at the same time (or would like to), I'm not satisfied with just
- switching the connections between s0 and s1.
- Has anyone else had this problem? Better yet, is there a solution? I haven't
- modified the serial line parameters at all (IRQ's, addresses, etc). I also found
- this to be a problem in 0.98p5, but it was fine in 0.98p0. Any help is
- appreciated.
- Thanks,
- -Matt
