  12. Last week I've tried to upgrade to 98p6 by recompiling the new kernel and
  13. making a new bootdisk (yes, I don not use Lilo) ... compiling was fine, but
  14. when I tried to boot from the new disk I've got the following:

  30. Then it all halts ... I've tried the 99 version, too - with the same
  31. result. But I can boot it from my old 98p5 bootdisk ...

  33. Is there a way to get 98p6 or 99 running ? My machine is a 486 with 
  34. 8 meg RAM and a SCSI disk on an AHA1542B
  35.  
  36. Please, is there any solution ? Maybe something has changed for compiling
  37. the kernel from 98p5 to 98p6 ? Any options etc. ?
