  12. I installed linux on my hd with the bootimage/rootimage from version 0.98.
  13. Everything seemed okay.
  14. Then I edited the bootdisk (per the instructions):
  15. I have my linux fs on /dev/hda2
  16. so I used MSDOS Norton Diskedit and changed
  17. Physical Sector: cyl 0, side 0, sector 1  offset 508 (decimal)
  18. the values in 508 and 509 were  00 00
  19. and the values are now          03 02
  20.  
  21. is this right?
  22. The bootdisk still asks for the root floppy, and
  23. when I press return I get a bunch of I/O errors.
  24. then I get an MSDOS I/O error.
