- I installed linux on my hd with the bootimage/rootimage from version 0.98.
- Everything seemed okay.
- Then I edited the bootdisk (per the instructions):
- I have my linux fs on /dev/hda2
- so I used MSDOS Norton Diskedit and changed
- Physical Sector: cyl 0, side 0, sector 1 offset 508 (decimal)
- the values in 508 and 509 were 00 00
- and the values are now 03 02
-
- is this right?
- The bootdisk still asks for the root floppy, and
- when I press return I get a bunch of I/O errors.
- then I get an MSDOS I/O error.
-
- HELP?!
