  13. When I try to perform a low-level format to a floppy, i.e.,

  15.             fdformat /dev/fd0
  16. I receive the following error:
  17.             ioctl(FDGETPRM): No such device
  18.  
  19. I receive the error imediately, and the drive never "twirls."
  20.  
  21. Please help me if you can.
  22. I would really like to be able to format disks from within Linux!
