  23.     Linux-Activists should now be running. The list has
  24.     been disabled due the problems it caused; too high
  25.     mail volume. Now many channels are digested - I'm
  26.     still going to make it better, even allow some
  27.     people send to digested channel undigested mails
  28.     (moderators?). I reprogrammed everything using perl,
  29.     because it has nice string functions .. and it is
  30.     fast enough.

  32.     Digested channels are:
  33.         680x0        configs        doc
  34.         fsf        gcc        interviews
  35.         kernel        mgr        msdos
  36.         net        normal        scsi
  37.         serial        slip        sound
  38.         tape        term        uucp
  39.         x11
  40.  
  41.     These are currently sent daily. When Mail-Net configuring
  42.     gets better I might change some digested channels
  43.     sent twice in a day etc. Lists having less than about
  44.     50 users are sent directly.

  46.     The system is going to look soon like mail based "irc" ..
  47.     and give more service for ALPHA/BETA testers, for which
  48.     the list mainly appear. There are much more better places
  49.     to ask FAQs, like "telnet your.archie.site","login: archie",
  50.     "prog inux".

  52.     I'm going to release Mail-Net sources, so you can spread
  53.     yafv (Yet Another Finnish Virus) ... irc to mailing lists ;-)
