  14. I have a similar problem (or two).  whenever I try to compile, I get the
  15. message
  16.         make *** [main.o] IOT trap/ABORT (core dumped)
  17.  
  18. or some variation, depending on the program I try to make.  Also, I get 
  19. permission errors when attempting a compile when other than root.  Need some
  20. help in figuring out those problems.
