  13. I've been attempting to install Linux on an IBM PS/VP 6384
  14. machine.  It is configured as follows:

  16. 33 MHz 486DX
  17. 8 Meg RAM
  18. Tseng ET4000AX SVGA
  19. 200 meg Maxtor 7213AI IDE hard disk
  20.  
  21. The SLS installation disk boots up fine on the machine but
  22. fdisk will not read the disk.  It responds with
  23.     'unable to read /dev/hda'
  24. when I try to use it.

  26. Does anyone know how to correct the problem?
